England’s World Cup last-16 match against Mexico will be shown live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The tie is scheduled for Monday 6 July at 01:00 BST at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
BBC Sport’s live TV selection also includes France against Paraguay on Saturday at 22:00, Spain against either Portugal or Croatia in Dallas on Monday 6 July at 20:00, and United States against Belgium on Tuesday 7 July at 01:00. The remaining four last-16 fixtures are listed for ITV coverage.
The England fixture carries extra attention because Mexico are tournament co-hosts and the venue is one of football’s most recognisable stages. England reached this round after a 2-1 win over DR Congo, while Paraguay’s progress came after a penalty shootout win over Germany.
Beyond television, BBC coverage is set to include radio commentary for every match via BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds, plus live text and analysis through the BBC Sport website and app. Spoiler-free highlights and an interactive 3D match experience are also part of the planned coverage package.
