Euro 2028 is scheduled for June 9 to July 9, with 24 teams playing across nine stadiums in England, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland. Wembley Stadium is due to host the final on July 9.
The confirmed fixture plan gives the tournament a clear UK-and-Ireland shape, but several headline details remain conditional. Wales could feature in the opening match at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, while England's listed route would begin at the Etihad Stadium and continue with group games at Wembley if they qualify.
The host-nation qualification model is a major talking point. England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland must all enter qualifying, although two reserved places are available for the best-ranked host nations who miss out through the normal route.
Northern Ireland is no longer part of the hosting line-up after funding was not provided for the Casement Park redevelopment in time for the tournament. The event is still being framed as a large-scale finals, with more than three million tickets expected to be made available and Spain arriving as defending champions after Euro 2024.
