Padraig Harrington has won the US Senior Open for the third time, equalling Miller Barber’s tournament record. The Irishman finished at 12 under par at Scioto Country Club in Ohio, four shots ahead of Stewart Cink.
Cink began the final round with a one-stroke lead, but Harrington produced a four-under closing round while the American slipped back. The result adds to Harrington’s US Senior Open wins in 2022 and 2025.
The victory is Harrington’s fourth senior major, following his Senior Open Championship success last year. It also extends a major-winning career that includes The Open titles in 2007 and 2008, plus the 2008 PGA Championship.
Elsewhere on the leaderboard, Ian Poulter finished fourth, seven strokes behind Harrington. Jamie Donaldson tied for fifth, while Darren Clarke ended tied for eighth at three under.
