Northampton Saints are Premiership champions again after beating Exeter Chiefs 26-17 at Allianz Stadium. It is their second title in three seasons and the third league crown in the club’s history.
The final was not straightforward. Exeter stayed in the contest, but George Hendy’s two second-half tries arrived while the Chiefs were down to 14 players following Dafydd Jenkins’ sin-binning, giving Northampton the decisive break.
The bigger story is how Saints have built this run. Their matchday 23 included 14 academy graduates, and captain George Furbank’s title-winning farewell before his move to Harlequins underlined both the emotional pull of the club and the hard choices behind its squad planning.
Henry Pollock, 21, was named player of the match after a rapid rise that has already included debuts for England and the British & Irish Lions. Director of rugby Phil Dowson, now linked by pundits with future international potential, has overseen two Premiership titles and a side that again finished top of the league.
Calling this a dynasty is still partly projection, but Northampton have the strongest evidence available: trophies, academy depth, and repeated league excellence. The next challenge is whether they can keep turning promise into silverware as players move on and opponents adapt.
