The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly close to acquiring Aaron Wiggins from the Oklahoma City Thunder for two future second-round draft picks. The deal has not been presented in the source as officially announced by either team, so it remains pending verification.
According to the reported terms, Oklahoma City would receive Atlanta’s 2030 second-rounder and the less favorable 2032 second-round pick between the Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers. ESPN also reported that the move would lower the Thunder’s projected tax penalty and open one roster spot.
For Atlanta, Wiggins would add another rotation guard with championship experience. He was part of Oklahoma City’s 2024-25 title team and averaged 9.4 points over 65 games last season, including 21 starts.
The move fits into a busy Hawks offseason picture that also includes a reported one-year extension for CJ McCollum and the team holding the No. 8 and No. 23 picks in this week’s draft. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, still holds the No. 12 and No. 17 selections.
