Kasper Høgh is expected to have a Celtic medical within the next 24 hours, according to manager Martin O'Neill. The Bodø/Glimt striker's move is progressing, but O'Neill stressed that it is not final until the formalities are completed.
The 25-year-old Denmark international has been linked with Celtic for several months, with reports suggesting a club-record £11m fee has been agreed with Bodø/Glimt. That figure has not been confirmed by the clubs, so the transfer remains at the negotiation stage rather than a completed signing.
Celtic's need for attacking depth has come into sharper focus after Daizen Maeda's sale to Ipswich Town. The club have added Camilo Durán this summer, and he has made an early impression in pre-season, but Høgh would bring a different profile after a productive spell in Norway and in European competition.
Høgh's rise has been gradual, moving through Randers, Hobro, Valur, AaB and Stabæk before establishing himself at Bodø/Glimt. His recent record includes strong domestic scoring numbers, Europa League goals, Champions League contributions against major opponents, and a first involvement with Denmark's senior team.
