A Pattaya cafe has gone viral for the Mor Aoi Croissant, a pastry whose Thai slang name is reported to loosely refer to pubic hair. The item is sold by Sai Waan Break House and has become a magnet for food vloggers and social media creators.
The cafe is run by a trained pastry chef who also teaches baking and advises other cafes in the Pattaya area. While the recipe has not been disclosed, the dark, strand-like topping over cream is widely believed to be finely shredded seaweed, though that ingredient claim remains unconfirmed.
The appeal appears to come from a mix of craft baking, visual surprise and a name designed to make people stop scrolling. At around 65-70 THB, or roughly $2, the croissant is priced low enough for curious visitors to try it as a viral novelty rather than a luxury dessert.
For editors, the story is less about the pastry alone and more about how unusual food branding spreads across creator platforms. The slang translation and ingredient speculation should be treated carefully until verified by Thai-language or cafe-direct sources.
