Jaylen Brown is reportedly headed from the Boston Celtics to the Philadelphia 76ers, with Paul George and four draft selections going to Boston in return. The deal has been reported by ESPN through sources and still requires official confirmation from the teams or league.
According to the report, Philadelphia’s package includes George, first-round selections in 2028 and 2031, plus second-round picks in 2028 and 2030. The pick terms are detailed and may need further clarification, including conditions around the 2028 first-rounder and the origin of the second-round selections.
For Philadelphia, the move would add a five-time All-Star and recent Finals MVP to a core featuring Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Brown is coming off a season in which he averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists while earning second-team All-NBA recognition.
For Boston, this would mark a major break from the Brown-Jayson Tatum era after years of deep playoff runs and a championship. George, 36, brings All-Star pedigree but also a different contract and career-stage profile, making the draft compensation central to how the Celtics’ side of the deal will be judged.
